The Roots of Music
Post-Katrina, most New Orleans schools have had to drop their marching band curricula that have always served as feeder programs for the city’s renowned music scene. The Roots of Music is a non-profit with a focus on keeping underprivileged youngsters off the streets by bringing back this valuable tradition. I created this site because of a desire to give back to the city which has given me so much and as a favor to the organization’s founders. Everything you see on the site from logo to layout to much of the content was created by me. Feel free to check out the website, and if you’re inspired to help contact them!
Westway EDC²
In my current job at Westway Holdings Corp. I am the lead developer on an heavily used, web-based inventory and billing management system. This system – developed in ASP.NET and Oracle – forms the backbone of operations at the Westway Terminal Company. The application is behind a VPN but screen-captures are available here.
Armante
Armante Furniture is an upscale furniture dealer in upstate Connecticut. This site was a collaboration between myself and The Voice - a web design firm that hired me as a freelancer. While they created the design and content, I built the site with a technically advanced Content Management System which uses xml templates to regenerate the site as static html pages to reflect modifications.
The Temple Gym
This site (which is still under construction) I created for The Temple Gym, a work-out center with a concentration on martial arts located in uptown New Orleans. Like The Roots of Music, I created this site from top to bottom, drawing the graphics and doing the layout myself.
